Welcome Guests! I am so delighted that you've selected my property to stay while in Lake Placid. I have so many incredible memories at this home, and I hope you will too.

The Adirondacks has welcomed guest since the 1800's when the park was created. The Adirondack Park encompasses 6 million acres, 3,000 lakes and ponds, and 30,000 miles of rivers and streams, and 2,000 miles of beautiful hiking trails for all skill levels. The 46 tallest mountains within the park are called the Adirondack High Peaks with Mt. Marcy being the highest at 5,343 feet. Year round recreation is extremely popular with alpine and cross country skiing along with downhill skiing and snowboarding at Whiteface Mtn. In the summer Whiteface Mtn offers extreme mountain biking trails, hiking or driving to the top for some of the best views of the Adirondacks in the region without having to leave your car.

Like many of our visitors, you have decided to rent a short-term residential property among the many permanent residents who live here full-time. Please remember to be a good neighbor.

Quiet time is 9pm-7am. Keep in mind, that you may be cited or fined by Town for creating a disturbance or for violating provisions of local noise ordinance laws. As the property owner/manager, I am committed to "keeping the peace".

Please remember, this is not a hotel, there is no room service and we don't restock your supplies during your stay. However our cleaner does leave you with an adequate amount of essentials to start your vacation.

Basic cleaning is included, but if excessive cleaning is required (over 2.5hrs) you will be charged. Greatly appreciated if you can throw all the towels in the washer and start load prior to departure.

Lighting

Outdoor lighting is on an automated timer; no switch. They automatically turn on at dusk and off at 11pm. Interior lighting wall switches are dimmer switches. Touch top/ bottom of switch to turn on/off (or) you can touch small buttons on side to control dimmer.

Heating

There are 2 Google Nest thermostats that operate for heat only with 2 separate zones.

Hallway thermostat heats the common areas (kitchen, living room, bathrooms).

Bedroom thermostat heats both bedrooms. Operation pics in binder.

Air Conditioning

There is no central A/C. Only window units installed during summer months.

Garage

The attached garage has a manual door and is available for use during your stay. It is remains heated in the winter secondary to the heated boiler pipes. If used during winter, make sure the side door and garage door is completely closed shut. This avoids frozen pipes from draft of freezing temperatures.

Trash

There are two large bins located at end of the driveway for trash and recyclables. Recyclables include, plastic, glass, cans, cardboard. Please make sure that all trash, except recyclables, is put into kitchen trash bags provided and bags tied closed to prevent animals and critters. Kindly empty all trash into bins prior to your departure.

Plowing

There is plowing service that will plow and shovel every 4-6" of snowfall. If snowfall is expected during your stay, please put your vehicle in the garage so that driveway can be plowed. A shovel and ice-melt salt is also available if needed.

Linens

Extra linens for sleeper couch are located in the living room storage ottoman. If sleeper couch is used, please strip linens from bed prior to departure or keep it open.
